Expert Marketplace Terms and Operating Policy

1. Marketplace role
InPsychNow provides discovery, scheduling, payment, communication, and administrative tools. Each expert independently provides the consultation. InPsychNow is not the expert's employer, professional supervisor, partner, or clinical practice.
2. Eligibility and verification
Launch participation is limited to approved experts based in the United States or Canada. Experts must provide accurate identity, location, credentials, scope, language, availability, and rate information; maintain required licenses and insurance; and complete Stripe verification. InPsychNow may request documentation and pause a profile while reviewing it.
3. Professional scope
Experts may provide only the service approved on their listing. Coaching and reflective astrology services are not medical care, mental-health treatment, legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, crisis support, diagnosis, prediction, or a guarantee. Experts must make referrals when a request is outside their lawful competence.
4. Fees and funds flow
The client pays the displayed checkout total. Unless an addendum says otherwise, InPsychNow retains a 30% platform fee and allocates 70% to the expert through Stripe Connect. Stripe processing, currency conversion, taxes, refunds, disputes, reversals, reserves, and other payment adjustments can affect the final payout. Stripe controls the connected account payout timing.
5. Cancellation and no-shows
A client may cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before the session for a full session-price refund or credit, subject to nonrefundable processing costs where lawful and disclosed. A cancellation inside 24 hours or a client no-show is ordinarily nonrefundable. If the expert cancels or fails to attend, the client receives a full refund or may choose a reschedule. InPsychNow may make a different fair resolution for emergencies, technical failures, duplicate charges, or exceptional circumstances.
6. Meeting links and attendance
For launch, the expert creates a unique Zoom or Google Meet link for each booking and adds it promptly through the Expert Dashboard. Experts and clients should join five minutes early. A party is considered a no-show after 15 minutes without communication. Recording is prohibited unless every participant gives explicit prior consent and the recording is lawful.
7. Privacy and records
Experts may use booking information only to deliver and administer the booked service. They must protect personal information, avoid unnecessary downloads, comply with applicable privacy and recordkeeping law, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access. InPsychNow should not be used to exchange emergency or highly sensitive clinical information.
8. Taxes and business obligations
Experts are responsible for their own registrations, income and sales taxes, GST/HST and provincial obligations where applicable, deductions, insurance, and business records. Stripe may collect tax information and make tax documents available. Nothing on this page is tax advice, and form type or filing responsibility depends on the actual payment configuration and applicable law.
9. Refunds, disputes, and offsets
Experts must cooperate with evidence requests. If a transaction is refunded, disputed, fraudulent, duplicated, not delivered, or reversed, InPsychNow may reverse the related transfer or offset the expert share against future amounts as permitted by law and the Stripe agreements.
10. Safety and conduct
Harassment, discrimination, exploitation, deceptive claims, romantic or sexual solicitation, off-platform payment circumvention, credential misrepresentation, and retaliation are prohibited. Immediate safety concerns should be directed to local emergency resources, not an expert consultation.
11. Profile and account control
Experts control offered hours but InPsychNow controls marketplace publication. InPsychNow may edit formatting, require corrections, pause booking, investigate complaints, remove a listing, or terminate access for safety, legal, quality, payment, or trust reasons. Earned undisputed amounts remain subject to the payment terms.
12. Electronic records and updates
The expert application records the signer's name, time, agreement version, IP address, and device information. Version 2026-07-30-v1 is the current launch draft. Material changes apply prospectively with notice and may require renewed acceptance.
